No. 10A-1970: On or about August 22, 2012: Employees working in building 2616 were exposed to fire hazards. The employer did not ensure that fire extinguishers in the following areas were inspected and maintained: (a) The saw room (cabinet shop) - The fire extinguisher had an inspection tag dated March 1998 and was not fully charged (did not appear to be operational). (b) The sanding room - The fire extinguisher did not have an inspection tag and there were no records of any inspections being conducted. (c) The spray paint priming area - The fire extinguisher where flammable liquids such as xylene and paint thinner is used did not have an inspection tag and there was no record of inspections. (d) The main spray paint area - The fire extinguisher in this area where flammable paints are sprayed on a daily basis did not have an inspection tag and there was no record that inspections of the fire extinguishers had taken place.
