29 CFR 1910.179(n)(1): Crane(s) were loaded beyond the rated load (maximum load for which the crane or individual hoist was designed and built by the manufacturer and shown on the equipment nameplate(s))    (a)  The employer failed to ensure that employees utilizing two overhead cranes (each rated at 5 tons/10,000 lbs. with a total of 20,000 lbs.) to lift a girder assembly (weighing approximately 22,799 lbs.) did not exceed the rated capacity of the cranes.  This exposed employees to crushing hazards.
