29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):     Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems, nor  did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502.      Employees were working on a residential roof installing siding and not utilizing fall protection. Employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 8.7 feet and 11.1 feet.     Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4):     Ladders were used for purposes other than the purposes for which they were designed:    On September 11, 2012 at a jobsite located at 802 S. Main Street, Yorkville IL. Employees were using an A frame ladder as a straight ladder to access the roof. Employees were exposed to fall hazards.      Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
