29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a)  On September 13. 2012, at a jobsite located at 12921 So HWY 71, Grandview, MO., one employee was exposed to serious fall hazards, in that he was working from an unprotected roof top edge without the use of Fall Protection equipment or a Fall Protection system. The employee was exposed to an approx. 14 feet - 6 inch fall to the concrete surface below.        Abatement certification for this violation is not required.
