29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns were not protected by protective helmets: a) 76 S. Atlantic Ave., Bethany Beach, DE - Employees observed working on scaffolding at a 2 1/2 story residential construction site without hardhats. The employees were removing and installing siding and plywood. This exposed the employees to potential injuries from falling objects. The violation was observed on or about October 11, 2012.

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds was not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as follows: a) 76 S. Atlantic Ave., Bethany Beach, DE - Employee observed working on platform that was not fully planked or decked. The platform was approximately 12 feet above the ground. The employee was removing siding and damaged plywood at a 2 1/2 story residential construction site. This exposed the employee to injuries from fall hazards. The violation was observed on or about October 11, 2012.
