29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):     Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and fuardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.    At a jobsite in Sycamore, Illinois employees conducting commercial roofing operations approximately 30 feet above grade were not utilizing any method of fall protection.    There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):     Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladders length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigied support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist emmployees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.    At a jobsite in Sycamore, Illinois employees utilizing an extension ladder to gain access to a flat commercial roof did not extend the ladder a minimum of 3 feet above the landing surface.    Abatement certification is required of this item in accordaqnce with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c)
