Such training must be provided at no cost to the employee and during working hours. The employer shall institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program. a. On or about October 26, 2012, in the embalming room, employees were exposed to bloodborne pathogens when conducting embalming procedures. The employer failed to train employees of the hazards associated with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, the exposure control plan, and the means and measures to be taken to protect themselves from exposure.
