The employer does not ensure a body belt or harness with lanyard attached to the boom or basket is worn by employees working from an aerial lift.    a. This condition was observed on or about November 5, 2012, on the west side of sign where two employees were exposed to fall hazards when working from the aerial lift without a body belt or harness while building the frame of a sign 34 feet above ground.     b. This condition was observed on or about November 5, 2012, on the east side of sign where one employee was exposed to fall hazards when working from the aerial lift without a body belt or harness while building the frame of a sign 34 feet above ground.     Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees are wearing a body belt or harness with lanyard when working from heights in an aerial lift.
