The ice from the frozen packed vegetables is melting and the water is pooling on the produce cooler floor of store #1842 located at 4660 Chippewa, St. Louis, MO, 63116.

29 CFR 1910.176(b):     Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse:    Pallets of material stored on metal racking systems create hazards in the produce cooler and warehouse:    a/  Along the west wall of the produce cooler, the metal storage rack is unstable due to support column damage.  The front center support column is knocked completely off of the column base plate.      b/  Along the south wall of the warehouse, the metal storage rack is unstable due to support column damage.  The front center support column is knocked completely off of the column base plate.

29 CFR 1910.132(a):     Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers was not provided, used, and/or maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition:    In the warehouse of store #1842 located at 4660 Chippewa, St. Louis, MO, 63116, the employer failed to provide and ensure the use of personal protective equipment while the forklift and electric jack batteries were being serviced and/or charged.  A minimal of eye/face protection and hand protection should be provided and be required to be worn.  The forklift charging/servicing area was located along the south wall of the warehouse area.    Shop N Save were previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.132(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313638017, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on 11/30/2009 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/17/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 9521 Lewis & Clark Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63136.

Shop N Save were previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.161(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313638017, citation number 1, item number 2, issued on 11/30/2009 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/17/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 9521 Lewis & Clark Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63136.
