29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: (a) There was not adequate strain relief for the emergency light in the Mechanics break room, as the Sure-lites emergency light was hanging by the electrical wiring from the ceiling and was damaged. (b) There was not adequate strain relief for the Speedex Key Cutting Machine in Bay 1 as the cord where it was plugged into the wall, the outer insulation had pulled back exposing interior wiring. (c) There was not adequate strain relief for the extension cord on the outside on the northside of the building. The extension cord was used to warm the engine blocks for the trucks.
