Section 5(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to struck-by hazards from vehicular traffic and were not provided adequate protection:     (a)  For three employees who were exposed to crushing hazards from vehicles that passed adjacent to an excavation on County Road 36 north of Highway 23, Watford City, ND.       Abatement Note:  Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to follow the requirements of one of the following:     1.  Implementing Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD);    2.  Following the applicable ANSI/ASSE A10.47, Work Zone Safety for Highway Construction 2009 edition; or    3.  Following the "Traffic and Signage Plan For Work on County Road 36" as provided by the Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. to Bennett Construction.
