OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were allowed to have direct contact with apex predators such as non-domestic felines and gray wolves during feeding and socializing. (a) Non-Domestic Feline Enclosure: On or about December 12, 2012, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to potential attacks from non-domestic felines while performing activities including but not limited to feeding and socializing with the non-domestic feline. (b) Gray Wolf Enclosure: On or about December 12, 2012, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to potential attacks from gray wolves while performing activities including but not limited to feeding.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: a) Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary: On or about December 12, 2012, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to shock and/or electrocution from flexible cords (extension cords) being used throughout the facility as a substitute for fixed wiring. The extension cords were ran on the ground through the snow, water and over walkways to energized heating elements for animal water containers to prevent them from freezing.
