OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing for likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards created by defective automotive lifts:    a) Bay #2, on or about 12/17/2012: The Rotary Automotive Lift Model SPOA10N700 Serial # CRZ06F0378 was not removed from service by the employer and was being operated with a broken cable for the locking mechanisms exposing employees to crush and struck-by hazards while performing vehicle service or repair.     b) Bay #3, on or about 12/17/2012: American Lift Model TP11KAC, Serial # 0807-20926 was not removed from service by the employer and was being operated with a worn, frayed cable for the locking mechanisms exposing employees to crush and struck-by hazards while performing vehicle service or repair.
