29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and fuardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:    a) On or about August 15, 2012, on the roof of the gymnasium building of the Helotes Elementary School, an employee walked up to an open edge of a metal roof that measured approximately twenty five feet in height and had an approximate pitch of four and twelve. The employee was wearing a body harness but was not tied off to any type of anchorage point. This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard.    b) On or about August 15, 2012, on the roof of the gymnasium building of the Helotes Elementary School, an employee was doing metal work along an open edge on the center of the metal roof that had an opening that measured approximately twenty seven feet in length by five feet wide and had an approximate pitch of four and twelve. The employee did not have any type of fall protection in place. This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard.
