29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):     "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    (a) Employee performing gutter work from a roof on a Southeast corner of an apartment building was not protected from falling. This exposed the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 18.5'.      JJC Premium Roofing & Sheet Metal, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 573318, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on October 18, 2012, with respect to a workplace location at 6167 Highland Lane, Greendale, WI 53129.    JJC Premium Roofing & Sheet Metal, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313528226, citation number 01, item number 02 and was affirmed as a final order on September 16, 2010, with respect to a workplace location at 3745 N. Booth St., Milwaukee, WI 53212.
