29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii):     Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with a stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge.    Northeast corner of Building: employees working/using the stairway were not protected from falling to the ground level at the outer sides and edges of the stairway.  The stairs have more than ten risers at each level.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):     "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.     Northeast corner of Building  employees working/using the stairway were not protected from falling to the ground level at the outer sides and edges of the stairway.  The stairs have more than ten risers at each level. The fall distance from the second level is approximately 13 feet high.
