29 CFR 1910.332(b)(2): Additional requirements for unqualified persons. Employees who are covered by paragraph (a) of this section but who are not qualified persons shall also be trained in and familiar with any electrically related safety practices not specifically addressed by 1910.331 through 1910.335 but which are necessary for their safety.     a. At the worksite located at 501 West Shrock Road in Westerville, Ohio the employer had a maintenance employee that assisted in the changing of a fuse on a 480 VAC 3 phase switch which resulted in an arc blast that sent the employee to the hospital, and the employer did not provide effective training to their employee that would give him the skills necessary to recognize and control the hazards with that task.

The employer shall maintain a written copy of the procedures outlined in paragraph (b)(2) and shall make it available for inspection by employees and by the Assistant Secretary of Labor and his or her authorized representatives.    a. At the worksite located at 501 West Shrock Road, in Westerville, Ohio the employer did not have written procedures on how to properly control hazardous electrical power to protect it's employees.
