Inside of the repair shop, employees were using a gray portable floor jack that did not have the rated load capacity of the jack written in a prominent place on the jack.    2. Inside of the repair shop, employees were using a yellow engine (motor) puller (cherry picker) that did not have the rated load capacity of the equipment written in a prominent place on the equipment.    3. Inside of the repair shop, near the west wall, there were eleven (11) portable jack stands that did not have their rated load capacities clearly written on the jack stands.

29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1):     In every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial, or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official shall be marked on plates of approved design which shall be supplied and securely affixed by the owner of the building, or his duly authorized agent, in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate. Such plates shall not be removed or defaced but, if lost, removed, or defaced, shall be replaced by the owner or his agent.    1. At the time of the inspection, inside of the repair shop, there was a platform above the parts department with no floor load (weight limit) sign in place.    2. At the time of the inspection, inside of of the repair shop, there was a platform above the work floor in the rear of the building with no floor load (weight limit) sign in place.
