29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.     a)  Powder Room, 3000 Casteel Drive, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108:    Observed on or about February 7, 2013, employees used compressed air (90 p.s.i.) to clean bottles and production equipment while not wearing protective eyeware.  The employees were exposed to an eye injury hazard.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative.     a)  Powder Room, 3000 Casteel Drive, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108:  Observed on or about February 7, 2013, the employer did not establish an energy control program to protect employees engaged in the maintenance of a Hapman brand flexible screw conveyor and an All-Fill brand auger filling machine.  The employees were exposed to the hazards of amputation and electrical shock.

29 CFR 1910.242(b):  Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:      a)  Powder Room, 3000 Casteel Drive, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108:    Observed on or about February 7, 2013, employees used compressed air to clean product bottles and production equipment.  The air compressor was set to approximately 90 pounds per square inch (p.s.i.) at the time of the inspection.  Employees using the air gun to clean product containers during the filling process were exposed to the hazard of embolism.
