29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color. Self-luminous or electroluminescent signs that have a minimum luminance surface value of at least .06 footlamberts (0.21 cd/m2) are permitted. On or about 12 February 2013, and at times prior thereto, three exit signs within the main office building and one exit sign inside the warehouse were not illuminated, exposing employees to fire hazards. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure Exit signs are illuminated to meet the requirement.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. On or about February 12, 2013, and at times prior thereto, employees used compressed air at pressures of approximately 42 psi for cleaning purposes. The safety relief device, such as the reducer section, was not present on the tool to prevent the hazard of flying projectiles. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure safety relief devices are attached to the air nozzles of the compressed air guns to help reduce the pressure to 30 psi.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: On or about 12 February 2013, and at times prior thereto, three (3) electrical 480 volt breaker panels all in different work areas were blocked and had materials stored in front, limiting safe and ready access, and exposing the employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards.; Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure the working space around electrical panels are kept clear up to 36 inches or more to allow safe and ready access.
