OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazard(s).    (a) Building Roof - on or about February 14, 2013 - 150 installed roof trusses were not installed with sufficient lateral and diagonal bracing to prevent a collapse hazard.

29 CFR 1926.701(b):  All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement:    (a) Left Side Entrance to the Building - on or about February 14, 2013 - protruding reinforcing steel (rebar) ends on the outside of this building were not properly capped or otherwise protected to prevent impalement hazards to employees that were accessing the work area inside the building through this entrance.
