Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being hit and/or struck by inadequately secured metal roof trusses: Worksite: The aluminum roof trussess, that were lifted by a mobile crane were secured in such a manner that the bottoms were secured onto the top of wall of the first floor and only one horizontal brace was used on each side of trussess, and no additional bracings, other means and/or methods were utilzed to ensure that all trussess were adequately and positively secured.
