29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(ii): All equipment and environmental and working surfaces was not cleaned and decontaminated after contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials: a) During the period of September 15, 2012, and February 15, 2013, at the above located workplace, employees were required work with autoclaved reusable sharp objects. The employer did not maintain autoclave efficiency verification records ensuring that the reusable sharp objects were properly decontaminated. The employees were thereby exposed to the hazards associated with potentially contaminated sharps.
