(a) Roof, new residential construction located at 5131 Vansant Trail, Powder Springs, GA 30127: Employees were not protected from eye injuries while engaged in roofing activities with pneumatic Hitachi (Model NV45AB2) Coil Roofing Nail Guns as these tools were operated without safety glasses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b), nor did the employer demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems and develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of section 1926.502:     (a) Roof, new residential construction located at 5131 Vansant Trail, Powder Springs, GA 30127: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 20'1" while engaged in roofing activities on a 10/12 pitched roof with no fall protection system in place.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:    (a) Roof, new residential construction located at 5131 Vansant Trail, Powder Springs, GA 30127: The ladder provided did not extend 3 feet above the eave to allow for safe access on and off the roof. Employees using this ladder were exposed to falls of approximately 20'1" to ground below.
