29 CFR 1926.1412(f)(2)(xvii): Warning labels and decals originally supplied with the equipment by the manufacturer or otherwise required under this standard: Missing or unreadable.   a)     On or about March 12, 2013; at the center of the jobsite, employees were allowed to operate a mobile crane (Link-Belt LS108D-S/N 1GI7-5881D) without ensuring that the (control) decals originally supplied with the equipment by the manufacturer were readable.   Howard Pile Driving Co., Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1412(f)(2)(xvii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 430951, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/20/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 411 S. Prieur St., New Orleans, LA 70119.     Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure the warning labels and decals originally supplied with the equipment by the manufacturer are maintained in a readable condition.
