29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Employees working on a 5 in 12 pitch roof which was approximately 18 foot from a lower level were exposed to fall hazards while conduct roofing work without fall protection such as but not limited to using Personal Fall Arrest System, scaffolds, safety nets or guard rails being used.
