29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2):     Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling.    (a) Rear shop area: on 03/14/2013 and at times prior thereto, a relocatable power tap (RPT) UL listed for household use was used to supply power to a 9.6 ampere vacuum and a 3.5 amp palm sander which exceeds 80% of the RPT ampere rating.    (b) Rear shop area: on 3/14/2013 and at times prior thereto, two RPTs were connected to temporary electrical power cords rather than directly to permanent power as required by the listing and labeling.    Note: Abatement certification IS required for this item.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv):     Flexible cords and/or cables were used for purposes prohibited by paragraphs (A) and (C) of 29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv):    (a) Rear shop area: on 03/14/2013 and at times prior thereto, flexible cords were used to provide permanent power to a shop vacuum, battery chargers, and a palm sander.     (b)  Rear shop area: on 03/14/2013 and at times prior thereto, a flexible cord was routed through a loosened access panel to provide permanent lighting inside the protective case of a Hyundai-Kia Vertical Milling Machine, Model VX650.    NOTE:  Abatement certification IS required for this item.
