29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1):     If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition.    1. At the time of the inspection, inside of the production area, employees were operating a Hyster model 50 propane powered fork truck with an inoperable horn.

29 CFR 1910.304(g)(5):     Grounding path. The path to ground from circuits, equipment, and enclosures shall be permanent, continuous, and effective.    1. Inside of the inspection and finishing area, employees were using a small metal scale that was located on a table that was not grounded. The metal casing (framing) on the scale was energized (hot). The small scale was GSE Model 574 scale system and serial number 109199.    2. Inside of the inspection and finishing area, employees were using a large blue metal scale that located on the floor that was not grounded. The metal casing (framing) on the scale was energized (hot). The large scale was a Weight-Tronix Model DSL 4848-05 with a weight capacity of 5,000 pounds.     3. On the second floor, employees were using a yellow Kenmore refrigerator that was not grounded. The metal casing (framing) on the appliance was energized (hot). The ground pin was missing from the plug of the electrical cord used to energize the refrigerator.

29 CFR 1910.179(b)(2):     New and existing equipment. All new overhead and gantry cranes constructed and installed on or after August 31, 1971, shall meet the design specifications of the American National Standard Safety Code for Overhead and Gantry Cranes, ANSI B30.2.0-1967, which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6.    1. At the time of the inspection, in the air set department, employees were operating a 2 ton over head crane with no safety tag in place above the pendant control box    2. At the time of the inspection, on the second floor balcony, employees were operating a 2 ton over head crane with no safety tag in place above the pendant control box.
