29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): If at any time a powered industrial truck is found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe, the truck shall be taken out of service until it has been restored to safe operating condition. a- Epic Industries, Edison, NJ, Throughout Facility - The Kalmar propane-powered forklift was being operated with defects was not immediately taken out of service: - The buckle and pin which secures the propane tank onto the forklift was missing. - The lights on top of the forklift were removed with the wires left hanging. Condition noted on or about 3/20/13.
