29 CFR 1910.213(b)(3): Provisions were not made to prevent woodworking machine(s) from automatically restarting upon restoration of power after power failure: (a) On or about March 27, 2013 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from the use of the Central Machinery drill press that was not equipped with a device to prevent automatic restart after a power outage. The drill press was located in the wood shop at the Detroit Ranger District.

29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(i): Oxygen cylinders were stored near highly combustible material, especially oil and grease; or near reserve stocks of carbide and acetylene or other fuel-gas cylinders, or near other substance likely to cause or accelerate fire; or in an acetylene generator compartment: (a) On or about March 27, 2013 the inspection revealed that employees were potentially exposed to serious injury from an oxygen and an acetylene cylinder that were stored together. The cylinders were located in the warehouse at the Detroit Ranger District in the trail crew section.
