OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):   Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and crushed-by hazards.  (a)  On or about 4/3/13 - Fabrication areas,  employees operated a World 70-E forklift that was not equipped with a safety restraint system.   Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to ensure that all forkllifts in use are equipped with a seatbelt restraint system and that operators are required to use the restraint system as specified in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B56.1b - 2000, Safety Standard for Low Lift and High Lift Trucks, Section 7.41, Operator Restraint Systems.
