29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(i): Engineering and work practice controls were not used to eliminate or minimize employee exposure. Where occupational exposure remained after institution of these controls, personal protective equipment shall also be used.: (a) Holy Spirit Hospital - The employer did not use engineering controls that would eliminate or minimize employee exposures to needlesticks while using the BD bell needles for blood cultures, on or about May 2, 2013. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
