29 CFR 1910.146(c)(2): If the workplace contains permit spaces, the employer shall inform exposed employees, by posting danger signs or by any other equally effective means, of the existence and location of and the danger posed by the permit spaces.  NOTE: A sign reading DANGER -- PERMIT-REQUIRED CONFINED SPACE, DO NOT ENTER or using other similar language would satisfy the requirement for a sign.  a.  At the work site, the employer had identified and labeled confined spaces in the 38 foot dump bin area.  Vat GT404 in this area did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.  b. At the work site, the employer had identified and labeled confined spaces in the 38 foot dump bin area.  Vat GT406 in this area did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.  c. At the work site, the employer had identified and labeled confined spaces in the 15 foot mixing area. Vat GT702 in this area did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.  d. At the work site, the employer had identified and labeled confined spaces in the 15 foot mixing area. Vat GT711 in this area did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.  e. At the work site, the employer had identified and labeled confined spaces in the 15 foot mixing area. Vat GT716 in this area did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.  f. At the work site, the employer had identified and labeled confined spaces in the 15 foot mixing area. Vat GT726 in this area did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.  g. At the work site, the employer had identified the "burp blender" as a confined space but it did not have a label identifying it as a confined space.
