29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:   (a)  On May 8, 2013, employees were exposed to point of operation from the vertical drilling machine, in that the drill bit was not covered or guarded to prevent rotating parts or flying chips/sparks from contacting the operator.   (b)  On May 8, 2013, employees were exposed to sharp edges from the nonworking portion of blade on the bandsaw, in that the blade was not covered or guarded to prevent injuries to the hands and/or fingers.
