Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.   a.  On or about May 17, 2013 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing carpentry framing operations from the attic trusses, approximately eighteen (18) feet six (6) inches above the ground were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards.     b.  On or about May 17, 2013 - at the above addressed jobsite, employees were exposed to falls of fourteen (14) feet due to unprotected window openings on the 2nd floor, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.
