29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: a- 1705 Route 35 North, Lavallette NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 20 feet 7 inches to the ground surface below when performing shingle rip, tear, repalace and other roofing related activities at the worksite. Condition observed on or about 05/30/13.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): A training program was not provided to each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards, to enable that employee to recognize the hazards of falling, and be trained in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards: a- 1705 Route 35 North, Lavallette NJ: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 20 feet 7 inches to the ground surface below, when performing roof rip, tear, replace and other roofing related activities from a pitched roof without the use of any fall protection. These company employees had not received fall protection training. Condition observed on or aboofout 05/30/13. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
