29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. Employees were exposed to corrosive burns to the eyes in that an emergency eyewash was not available in the kitchen. Mach Turbo, corrosive dishwashing liquid, was used in the dishwasher.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc. Kitchen staff were exposed to rotating beaters when adding ingredients to the Hobart mixer in that the mixer blades were not guarded.

29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(2)(i): Containers for contaminated sharps shall be easily accessible to personnel and located as close as is feasible to the immediate area where sharps are used or can be reasonably anticipated to be found (e.g., laundries); Employees were exposed to needle sticks with contaminated sharps in that a sharps container was not located in the laundry room or on the housekeeping cart.
