Other workers at ground level were cutting wood with circular saws. Employees were not wearing eye protective equipment. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about 06/14/13 at Cumming, GA: Workers were sheathing the second floor joists at the leading edge of the building, without the use of fall-protective equipment. The workers were exposed to falls from a 10 ft. 8 in. elevation to ground level on the surroundings of the house. b) On or about 06/14/13 at Cumming, GA: Workers were sheathing the second floor joists adjacent to a floor opening, without the use of fall-protective equipment. The workers were exposed to falls from a 10 ft. 3 in. elevation to the concrete slab inside the house. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
