29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area and chemical-specific information was not always available through labels and material safety data sheets: Salon: Employees required to work with chemicals, such as to (but not limited to) phenylenediamine (PPD), ammonium hydroxide, hydroquinone and ethanolamine-containing hair coloring products, and formaldehyde-containing hair-smoothing products, were not provided with information and training at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical was introduced into their work area. Warren Tricomi Haircare was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315974014, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on March 12, 2012, and was affirmed as a final order on March 28, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at One East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830.
