29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: (a). Worksite located at I-70 Outer Road, Odessa, Missouri- Employees were exposed to impalement hazards in that employees were stepping off the the new bridge decking and onto the embankment that had multiple pieces of rebar sticking out from concrete pavement.
