29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(ii): Each platform greater than 10 feet in length shall not extend over its support more than 18 inches (46 cm), unless it is designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform is able to support employees without tipping, or has guardrails which block employee access to the cantilevered end.   a) 3843 Steinhauer Rd. Tract 2. Marietta GA. - North side of building: An employee was exposed to falls of up to 16 ½ feet while working from a pump jack scaffold that had platforms extending over its supports 11 1/2 feet on the Northwest side and 6 ½ feet on the Northeast side.

29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2): Poles shall be secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary. When the pump jack has to pass bracing already installed, an additional brace shall be installed approximately 4 feet (1.2 m) above the brace to be passed, and shall be left in place until the pump jack has been moved and the original brace reinstalled.  a) 3843 Steinhauer Rd.
