29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:    (a)  HOSTETLER'S TRUCK BODY, PRODUCTION GARAGE - The United Stated Electrical Tool Model Number 600 12 inch bench grinder (S/N 469099) was equipped with work rests that were not adjusted to within an eighth inch of the abrasive wheels, thereby exposing employee(s) using the bench grinder to serious injuries, including but not limited to lacerations and eye injuries, on or about July 9, 2013.     (b)  HOSTETLER'S TRUCK BODY, PRODUCTION GARAGE - The Sears Craftsman Model Number 319.19063 8 inch bench grinder was not equipped with work rests, thereby exposing employee(s) using the bench grinder to serious injuries, including but not limited to lacerations and eye injuries, on or about July 9, 2013.     Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9):  The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch:  (a)  HOSTETLER'S TRUCK BODY, PRODUCTION GARAGE - The United Stated Electrical Tool Model Number 600 12 inch bench grinder (S/N 469099) did not contain tongue guards, thereby exposing employee(s) using the bench grinder to serious injuries, including but not limited to lacerations and eye injuries, on or about July 9, 2013.   (b)  HOSTETLER'S TRUCK BODY, PRODUCTION GARAGE - The Sears Craftsman Model Number 319.19063 8 inch grinder was equipped with tongue guards that were not adjusted to within a quarter inch of the abrasive wheel, thereby exposing employee(s) using the bench grinder to serious injuries, including but not limited to lacerations and eye injuries, on or about July 9, 2013.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
