OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) On or about July 16, 2013 and at times prior, employees were exposed to crushing hazards while working around auto lifts due to the following deficiencies: 1) Auto lifts were not periodically inspected by qualified inspectors at least annually to ensure that they properly maintained and fuctioning. 2) The employer had not trained employees on the safe use and operation of the lifts using the manufacturer's provided instructions. 3) The capacity of each lift was not posted on or near the equipment. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw was not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: a) On or about July 16th 2013, and at times prior, Windish RV Center Inc. employees in the wood shop area were exposed to amputation hazards while using a circular table saw without the proper machine guard in place. Guarding device was observed near the machine. Hardware used to secure guarding device to the machine appeared to be missing.
