29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a) 1933 US 46, Parsippany, NJ - west side of the sloped roof surface  Employee was conducting roof framing work on an 8 in 12 slope roof surface approximately 11 feet above the ground surface without any means of fall protection.   Violation observed on or about 07/22/2013

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents:  a) 1933 US 46, Parsippany, NJ - west side of the sloped roof surface   Employees were using a pneumatic nail gun to conduct framing roof work without eye protection.   Violation observed on or about 07/22/2013  HOMETOWN CONSTRUCTION WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 773469, CITATION NUMBER 01 ITEM NUMBER 01, ISSUED ON 04/26/2013 AND BECAME A FINAL ORDER ON 06/18/2013, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 20 SWEETWATER AVE, STATEN ISLAND, NY 10308.
