29 CFR 1926.501(b)(3): Each employee in a hoist area was not protected from falling 6 feet (1.8m) or more to lower levels by guardrail systems or personal fall arrest systems: (a). Worksite located at 328 Main Street, Platte City, Missouri- Employees were observed on the edge of the wall wihtout fall protection while directing the crane operator as to where to land the materials on to the roof structure. Employees were exposed to spefic hazards such as, but not limited to, being knocked off the roof by the load being flown and walking off the roof while watching or catching the load.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: (a). Worksite located at 328 Main Street, Platte City, Missouri- Employees working on a low-sloped roof were exposed to fall hazards and were not protected from falling. The employer chose to utilize a "safety monitor system" but the employees exposed to fall hazards were not being adequately monitored or protected.
