29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(i):     The employer having employee(s) with occupational exposure did not establish a written Exposure Control Plan designed to eliminate or minimize employee exposure:     a) Work Conpvidence,LLC/PIA - The employer did not develop an exposure control plan which would address the medical assistants, nurse practitioner and physician assistant who are occupationally exposed to blood when performing Tetanus shots and Tuberculosis skin test injections. This was observed on September 5, 2013.       ABATEMENT NOTE:   The exposure control plan shall contain at least the following elements:     1. The exposure determination required by paragraph (c) (2).     2. The schedule and method of implementation.     3. Methods of compliance.     4. The procedure for the evaluation of circumstances surrounding exposure incidents as required by paragraph (f)(3)(i) of the standard.     5. Hepatitis B vaccination and Post-Exposure evaluation and follow-up.     6. Communication of Hazards to employees     7. Recordkeeping for this standard.

29 CFR 1910.1030(g)(2)(i):     The employer did not ensure that each employee with occupational exposure participated in a training program:      a) Work Conpvidence,LLC/PIA - The employer did not provide exposure control training for their employees; the medical assistances, the nurse practitioner and the physician assistant who are routinely exposed to blood and other potentially infectious materials when providing medical treatment [e.g. injections and skin testing] to patients.   This was observed on September 5, 2013.     ABATEMENT NOTE:     1. An accessible copy of the regulatory text of this standard and an explanation of it contents.      2. A general explanation of the epidemiology and symptoms of bloodborne diseases.      3. An explanation of the modes of transmission of bloodborne pathogens.     4. An explanation of the employer's exposure control plan and the means by which the employees can obtain a copy of the written plan.     5. An explanation of the appropriate methods of recognizing task and other activities that may involve exposure in blood and other potentially infectious materials.     6. An explanation of the use and limitations of methods that will prevent or reduce exposure including appropriate engineering controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment.     7. Information on the types, proper use, location, removal, handling, decontamination, and disposal of personal protective equipment.
