29 CFR 1910.29(a)(4)(i): Wheels or casters were not properly designed for strength and dimensions to support four (4) times the design working load:    (a)  SERVICE BAY 5 -  Employees used an ECOA 15 foot ladder stand while repairing trailers while the ladder stand was missing the front left wheel which allowed the ladder stand to severely wobble, exposing employees to possible fall hazards, on or about September 10, 2013.    Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

(b)  BAY 6 - Employees used the Delta 36XL (SN: 012841) 6 inch bench grinder while the work rest was adjusted with an opening greater than one eighth inch, thereby exposing employees to serious injuries, on or about September 10, 2013.    Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
