29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(ii):  Engineering controls were not examined or maintained, and replaced on a regular schedule to ensure their effectiveness:    a) Sterilization Area - The employer did not conduct weekly autoclave spore tests on a Midmark M11 Ultraclave Steam Sterilizer, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and the American Dental Association, potentially exposing employees to bloodborne pathogens while using this autoclave to decontaminate sharps, reusable tools such as scalers, curettes, and glass hypodermic needles.  On or about September 24, 2012.
