29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft:  a) Carlton-Cooke Metal Finishing LLC, 1004 1st Ave Asbury Park, NJ, Polishing Room: The 1 1/4 inch shaft on the left side of the Hammond machine was unguarded and protruded 3 inches, observed on or about 10/21/13.   b) Carlton-Cooke Metal Finishing LLC, 1004 1st Ave Asbury Park, NJ, Polishing Room Divine next to Hammond Machine: The 1 1/4 inch shaft located on the left side of the Divine machine was unguarded and protruded 1 and 9/16 of an inch, observed on or about 10/21/13.   c) Carlton-Cooke Metal Finishing LLC, 1004 1st Ave Asbury Park, NJ, Polishing Room: The rotating shaft located on the left side of the Grand Electric machine was unguarded and protruded 13 7/8 inches. The 1 1/4 inch shaft on the right side was unguarded and protruded 1 1/4 inches, observed on or about 10/21/13.  ABATEMENT NOTE: Projecting shaft ends shall present a smooth edge and end and shall not project more than one-half the diameter of the shaft unless guarded by nonrotating caps or safety sleeves.
