29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c):      On or about October 29, 2013, at the Ventanas Unit 6 construction project, 4 employees were observed working in a trench 6 feet deep. Employees in the trench were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system such as trench box. This condition exposed the employees to entrapment and/or cave-in hazards.
